As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing basic accounting functions as needed for the department, in accordance with company standards and procedures. Responsibilities 

• Reconcile daily cash, process deposits, and maintain change banks.
• All accounts receivable-related administrative functions, including but not limited to invoicing, guest inquiries, collections, aging reports, and reconciling.
• Work as a team with managers and supervisors in all departments.
• Accurately compile and distribute daily sales reports, under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
• Record and distribute petty cash, and process reimbursement vouchers
• All Mailroom duties include distribution of mail, processing outgoing mail, and recording incoming checks.
• Support A/P vendor statement reconciliations and process purchase receiving logsEfficiently maintain clerical records, coordinate records retention shipments, and sustain organized storage units.
• Effectively communicate with internal team members to ensure adherence to accounting policies, report pertinent information to Accounting Manager, and assist with process improvements.
• Maintain internal accounting logs and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Administrative duties as needed.
• Other projects as assigned by Accounting Manager. 

Qualifications 

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High school diploma. This is a requirement.
• Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office products, including Microsoft Excel.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision, eager to be challenged, and initiate projects and opportunities.
• Processes an extremely high level of integrity.
• Prior experience handling large sums of money with extreme accuracy.
• Has a detective mentality when investigating cash discrepancies.
• Excellent accounting and general math skills.

Physical Requirements 

• Regularly required to sit in front of a computer.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for cash handling and typing duties.
• Talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
• Requires some bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
• Ability to walk and stand.
