The Opportunity

Responsible for the set-up and breakdown of all meetings and Banquet/Event functions, including service equipment.  This includes the actual arrangement of all tables, chairs, risers, podiums, dance floors, pianos, and any other non-food service items.  Also, direct involvement with the cleaning and maintenance of event equipment and designated convention services.

  • Responsible for the job performance of all Utility Associates and provides feedback on it to aid the Associates in developing and enhancing skills
  • Maintaining standards of set-up in conventions services per pre-established guidelines.
  • Provide input to Management concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention.
  • Constantly striving for complete Guest satisfaction relative to the product, service and facility.
  • Setting rooms with conventions service equipment as outlined on each BEO.
  • Reporting deficiencies in repair and maintenance in all public spaces and equipment.
  • Maintain order and organization of all storerooms and back of the areas.
  • Conducting regularly scheduled convention service equipment inventory and operation checks.
  • Assigning and /or delivering all meeting related Guest packages.
  • Organizing the delivery and placement of pre-arranged meeting room signage.
  • Performing cleaning projects as assigned in all our areas of responsibility.
  • Participate as a team member with all Servers, Captains, Cooks and all other pertinent Grand Casino Associates in ensuring an efficiently run operation.
  • Participate as a team member with other Associates, and Supervisors and any pertinent Grand Casino’s Associates to ensure efficient operational standard.
  • Responsible for receiving, issuing and keeping necessary records of liquor store and supplies.
  • Responsible for coordination and executing set up and tear down of Banquet and Event functions.
  • Assists with Clean up and duties involved.

The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe is an Ojibwa tribe located in Minnesota. The tribe boasts over 4,000 tribal members. Their land-base is the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation, consisting of two reservations and nine communities defined in the tribal constitution, aggregated into three districts.
