Job Summary:

Cleans and prepares hotel linens in accordance with established standards to assure guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, press, and fold hotel linens to departments as needed
  • Ensure washers and dryers operate properly, and informs management or maintenance of any malfunctions or problems
  • Maintain linen cart and supplies in a neat and organized manner
  • Respond to requests from hotel staff in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day
  • Make certain that the laundry area is kept clean and is well maintained
  • Maintain a professional image through appearance and dress
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
  •  Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
