The Houseperson will have the opportunity to directly impact the impression developed by all guests by making sure the hotel is cleaned and maintained overnight with inviting public areas and attractive grounds, taking pride in the portrayal of the hotel’s overall appearance. - Contributes to the departmental and property monthly goals for guest satisfaction scores by doing the job right the first time and giving exemplary service that goes above and beyond guest expectations. This is Job One for all team members.
- Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities such as business center, guest laundry, employee breakroom, food and beverage spaces, and common spaces such as lobby and public restrooms.
- Ensures fitness center equipment is cleaned regularly and stocked with amenities and Brand required items.
- Maintains key control and security of non-guest areas constantly.
- Performs all tasks assigned on job checklist via the Quore app on every shift.
- Picks up trash and cigarette butts, empties interior and exterior trash receptacles, as well as ash collection containers placed around the property. Removes all cigarette butts each shift.
- Ensures that a safe ice melter is put down prior to and after icing events. Makes sure walks are shoveled and de-iced after snowfall accumulations.
- Cleans up spills and moisture on tile floors. Use wet floor signs.
- Mops porcelain tile with diluted approved cleanser, using light scrubbing brush or pad where necessary. Mop with clear water and dry. Always use wet floor signs.
- Maintains proper cart placement while cleaning rooms, awareness of surroundings, and maintaining safe keeping of master keys and guestroom key cards. Is completely trained in competent in all emergency procedures and be ready to take charge in an emergency. Is constantly aware of potential security threats and If You See Something, Say Something by notifying the Manager on Duty or any other Manager.
- Ensures proper chemical usage according to OSHA Safety and Health Management System guidelines. Follows all OSHA/HAZCOM procedures, including Blood Borne Pathogens.
- Be alert to hazards anywhere observed in the hotel and take personal responsibility to ensure they are corrected.
- Ensures that all doors that are supposed to be secured are at all times.
- Takes personal responsibility to rectify guest complaints to their satisfaction. Listen actively to the guest’s complaint or concern, tell them what you are going to do, and then follow through, entering the issue in Quore and taking personal responsibility to ensure the guest is satisfied with the outcome. Never let a guest leave unhappy.
- Performs light repairs such as replacing light bulbs and unclogging pipes.
- Responds to guest requests immediately through the Quore app, acknowledging task, and marking it complete.
- Washes windows, vacuums floor and rugs, cleans furniture and window treatments.
- Pulls linens, terry, and trash for Room Attendants, and restocks housekeeping carts as needed.
- Maintains outside grounds, smoking, and pet area as assigned.
- Examines property for safety hazards and reports all problems to the Facilities Manager or other appropriate staff.
- Keeps dumpster area clean and well maintained with gates closed at all times.
- Maintains cribs, pack & plays, and roll-away beds.
- Sets up and breaks down meeting room as needed. Vacuums carpet, resetting chairs, tables, and linen, all according to instructions.
- Ensures that cleaning supplies are well stocked.
- Maintains, cleans, and organizes storage areas.
- Brings any equipment issues to the Maintenance Director’s or Manager on Duty’s attention immediately.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Assists in Laundry as needed, running loads during overnight shifts.
- Identifies leads for sales by surfacing information on guests’ companies and reasons to visit and communicate them to Sales using the specified method.
- Knowledgeable in how to perform basic Reception functions, including check in, telephone, wake up calls, etc.
- Maintains and drives the hotel shuttle vehicle. Records all trips in the log book. Fuels vehicle at designated service station using hotel credit card. Completes daily shuttle inspection on Quore. Washes and details vehicle as needed. Reports any service needs to supervisor or Manager on Duty immediately.
- Maintains constant communication with Front Desk and Housekeeping.
- Ensures proper chemical usage according to OSHA Safety and Health Management System guidelines. Follows property OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
- Maintains regular attendance in compliance with the hotel’s standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Wears appropriate brand required uniform and name tag during all scheduled shifts.
- Performs other cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services as assigned throughout the property.
- Performs all other duties assigned from time to time.

- Exhibit good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, guests, vendors, and visitors to the property.
- Clean motor vehicle driving record for shuttle operations.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing and walking, and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
