Our team at Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton is looking for qualified candidates to join our team as hotel Sales Associate.

Who You Will Become

As a Sales Associate, you’ll be tasked with driving sales for a specific segment. You will be required to maintain a portfolio of clients and build on new ones. You will be at the forefront of sales initiatives and at the heart of helping drive business into the hotel with support from the Director of Sales or Sales Manager. You will participate in hotel public relations initiatives and be expected to attend mixers organized by the CVB or Chamber of Commerce. You will work with a growing vibrant sales team and will acquaint yourself with cold calling, site tours and the property, as well as the in-house sales platform. Do you like selling? The position will help you hone your current sales skills and develop those of the IHG Way of Sales. For go getters, this is the ultimate position.

Job Description & Duties

Must be a people person. Candidates must possess excellent customer service driven personalities and/or have previous sales or retail sales experience. Previous hotel sales experience would be a plus but not required.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for:

• Getting business on the books based on assigned segment.
• Meeting quarterly production goals.
• Sales Calls, cold calling and weekly site tours.
• Participating in sales initiatives; including and not limited to blitzes, mixers and other PR activities.
• Providing a strong positive impression of the hotel to potential clientele.
• Being thorough in agreements and client contracts.
• Checking in with clients to ensure that they are happy with the hotel.
• Represent the hotel in a professional and friendly manner at all times.
• Traveling for sales calls, training or sales tours.
• Additional duties related to the job position though are not listed here will be expected.
• Ability to work mornings/afternoons/nights/weekends/ is required.
