Maintenance Technician

Job summary: 

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary in accordance with hotel standards.

Shift requirements:

Currently searching for morning shifts ranging from 7 – 4:30PM weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to the team within the department
• Prepare for any and all guest requests
• Participate in on-going training
• Respond to both guest and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
• Maintain guest rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel
• Attend required meetings
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
• Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.
• Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
• Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and it affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel/CRO operations
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotel’s needs
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
• Communicates effectively with others
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices
