Hotel Lucia is a Portland tradition that embodies Portland next. It’s a luxurious boutique respite located in the midst of downtown. Just minutes away from Pioneer Court House Square and the illustrious Pearl District, Hotel Lucia is ideal for exploring the boutique shops and restaurants of Portland’s vibrant metropolis.
Originally an extension of the Imperial Hotel, the building was first constructed in 1909. It was a popular gathering spot for visitors to Portland, the building itself was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 and is entwined with Portland’s history. Although the building has since been completely renovated, we’ve retained the Imperial Hotel’s old charm while adding elements of art deco and modern appeal.
Besides our remarkably spacious accommodations, Hotel Lucia is famous for its photography collection. Our gallery features the largest collection of black and white photography by Pulitzer Prize winner and native Oregonian David Hume Kennerly. Walking through Hotel Lucia, you’ll discover an eclectic collection of Kennerly imagery – from politicians to celebrities – and experience firsthand his remarkable ability to reveal the drama, vulnerability and spontaneity of life.
Planning your next power breakfast meeting, brainstorming session, rehearsal dinner or some other photo-worthy event? Let the Hotel Lucia make your next event truly special. We offer three meeting rooms ranging from 472 sq. ft. to 1,160 sq. ft. depending on the size of your party. Make sure you contact us directly regarding group rates at the Hotel Lucia.
Portland is foodie central, but that doesn’t mean you have to wander far from Hotel Lucia for delectable eats. We’re attached to The Imperial, one of the top restaurants in Portland, Oregon. And if you’re looking for something a little bit quicker, stop downstairs at the Penny Diner, a counter service diner featuring relaxed seating and grab and go options.
