Adorned in classic red brick with gothic architecture spiraling from the roof to the front door, a building like this is rich with history, and the Glidden House is no different. Our Cleveland Ohio hotel was built in 1910 and enjoys a place on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally the home of its two patrons, Glidden House represents the French Gothic Eclectic style of architecture that was prevalent in this prestigious residential section of Cleveland. In 1953, Case Western Reserve University purchased the house and later in 1989, it was reopened as Glidden House—a historic Cleveland hotel catering to the lodging needs of Cleveland’s cultural University Circle Area.
