PRG’s portfolio has historically received a significant amount of notable press, including consecutive inclusion on the prestigious Conde Nast ‘Hot List’, which was received in 2017, 2018 and 2019, representing the top new hotel openings in the world.  PRG is the only hospitality firm based on the west coast to hold this honor for three consecutive years during this period.

History 

PRG’s principals’ history in hospitality was borne from their experience with the Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, California.

Shortly after PRG’s predecessor company sold its commercial portfolio in 2005, the firm entered the hospitality industry by acquiring a hotel in Palm Springs, redeveloping, reimagining and rebranding it The Colony Palms Hotel. This boutique hotel was named by Condé Nast to its prestigious ‘Hot List’, marking it one of the top new boutique hotels in the world in 2008. The Colony Palms Hotel quickly became the preferred desert destination for top Hollywood celebrities and professionals from the entertainment industry.

Since this time, PRG has focused on relatively small hotels in very strong markets in California. The firm is one of the fasting growing hospitality companies in the US focusing on this sector of the hospitality industry.
