The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Banquet Server to join our team at The Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, New York. As a Banquet Server, you will provide outstanding guest service while serving food and beverages in a banquet setting, ensuring that The Gideon Putnam guests’ needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner.

What will you do?

  • Set up tables following the banquet event order.
  • Serve food, take and fill drink orders, answer questions, remove dirty dishes. 
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, adhere to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Monitor guest needs ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handle any guest complaints.
  • Break down events according to company procedures.

More about you

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly.
  • Must be able to complete online training courses.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for the entire length of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Mobility to maneuver between tables.
