The Night Manager promotes a safe and secure environment on the overnight shift. Oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure standards are maintained, and that hotel asset are secured and protected. Act in the capacity of General Manager in his or her absence.
Essential Functions:
Assists with guest issues as needed. With no supervision, gain an understanding of guest issues, and develop and implement solutions agreeable to the guest in efforts to maintain high standards of guest service.
Ensure the policy is followed regarding securing all methods of payments including cash drawer maintenance. Take action regarding violations to include immediate suspension pending investigation.
Provide direct oversight of all departments with specific oversight of Security and Engineering. Take action in regards to disciplinary issues requiring immediate attention.
Assist with Front Office and Night Audit operations, as well as any department in need
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Handles guest noise complaints
Assist with reconnecting lost children and parents
Assist Security by checking doors and service outlets to ensure they are secure
Protects the organization’s image by keeping security and incident information confidential
Ability to articulate and produce detailed shift summary reports to share with Operations team
Education and Experience:
Previous Hospitality/Hotel experience managing hourly team members required
Ability to work overnight shift required
Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management
Takes an exhaustive approach to every task
Capable of conducting a detailed investigation, and producing detailed, comprehensive documentation regarding same, with no supervision
Maintain composure and professional poise while handling all ranges of conflicts on property
Fire Life Safety Director Certification, preferred, but not required
Compensation: 64,350k-65k + benefits, medical, transit + incentive eligible
