About this job...

The In Confidence Host/Doorperson is the first smiling face the guest sees when arriving to In Confidence. This person is responsible for ensuring quick, engaging, and effective communication with guests. The In Confidence Host/Doorperson plays a critical role in overall guest satisfaction. The In Confidence Host/Doorperson must maintain communication with Speakeasy/Hobnob management and servers and help manage reservations according to the Speakeasy's capability. The Host/Doorperson provides support, resourcefulness and peace of mind for staff and guests alike.

What you'll be doing...

• Setting up the restaurant and/or lounge area for service
• Providing each guest an individualized greeting using charisma and stylized communication
• Purposefully navigating and seating each guest with respect to individual requests
• Warmly accepting telephone calls consistent with brand standards, thoughtfully listening to each guest inquiry, and providing accurate information or assistance
• Maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and lobby spaces 
• Effectively communicating with hotel staff and management to ensure quality guest experiences and smooth restaurant operation
• Checking Ids at the door at time of entry.
• Assisting in problem resolution to maintain safety of all hotel guests and associates.
• Calling for emergency assistance when necessary.
• Calling security and/or management to escort unwelcome persons from the premises without disrupting regular operations.
• Following all company policies and procedures.
• Participating in investigations as requested
• Completing additional duties as assigned

Requirements...

• Able to stand, walk, grasp, bend, and pivot repeatedly
• Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Communicate diplomatically and calmly to resolve tense situations.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Lift, lower, maneuver, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
