Retail Receiving Supervisor

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or appropriate work experience required. College graduate preferred. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with staff, guests, and vendors.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1-3 years of retail receiving experience. Must have knowledge of retail procedures and products that pertain both to sports retail and resort retail at Gate Hospitality. Must have strong leadership and communication skills. Effective prioritization skills and time management skills. Productivity driven and task oriented. Needs to be a team player. Needs to be highly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated. Valid driver’s license required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Good computer skills. Knowledge of Windows a plus. Knowledgeable of retail computer programs and reports. Knowledge of Jonas Club Management software a plus. Ability to utilize Adaco Purchasing Software a plus. Good oral and written communication skills.

JOB SUMMARY:

Directs and coordinates all of the functions related to the receipt and processing of merchandise entering and leaving the Retail Receiving Office.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Must need to be able to perform the duties of the position, which may require standing, walking, and sitting for long periods of time. The employee must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds or more. Must be able to twist, bend, lift, and reach repeatedly each day. Occasionally needs to be able to climb ladders to reach merchandise.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays, and overtime if required.
2. Attend all required training and safety course. Attend office and departmental trainings.
3. Transfer and deliver merchandise to correct shop locations.
4. Manage the processing of damaged goods, send and supply replenishments.
5. Ability to process purchase orders (enter orders correctly, scan, and confirm with vendor in a timely manner).
6. Match all receiving documents with correct invoices. Process invoices and give to the Director of Sports Retail/Director of Retail for approval.
7. Ability to perform transfers, markdowns, and inventory adjustments on the computer. Work with accounting to reconcile any outstanding invoices or items at months end.
8. Interfacing of department with other departments on special orders in a harmonious working relationship.
