The Human Resources Executive will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to fill various positions within the hotel, ensuring we have a strong, diverse, and skilled workforce. You will play a key role in building and maintaining a positive company culture by hiring employees who are committed to delivering exceptional guest service. 

What will I be doing?  

As the Human Resources Officer, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Source and attract qualified candidates for various hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, management, and maintenance.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment from job posting and screening resumes to conducting interviews, and assessments, and making job offers.
  • Conduct initial phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify key skills and qualifications required for each position
  • Develop and maintain job postings on online job boards, and social media.
  • Promote the hotel’s employer brand and value proposition to attract top talent.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring smooth transitions and providing necessary training materials.
  • Ensure that all legal and compliance-related paperwork is completed for each new hire.
  • Work with HR to promote employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to continually improve the hiring process and identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities, applications, and hiring decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws and hotel policies during the hiring process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local colleges, universities, recruitment agencies, and other external sources of talent.
  • Attend job fairs, industry events, and local networking opportunities to identify potential candidates.

Requirements

What are we looking for? 

A Human Resources Officer serving Hilton Brands shall maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in hotel recruitment or hospitality-related roles (preferred).
  • Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in the hospitality industry or a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment techniques and best practices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with various departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and recruitment system ie Taleo, Oracle Recruiting, etc.
