Under the direction of the Vice President, Enterprise Legal Compliance, the Senior Learning & Engagement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the department’s training programs and employee engagement initiatives. This role is both strategic and operational, serving a critical function in motivating and educating San Manuel team members. Utilizing a multi-channel approach, this role inspires a culture of ethics and integrity across the organization. Success in this role requires both visionary thinking and executional precision.The Senior Learning & Engagement Specialist will collaborate with the executive team and leaders across the organization. Additionally, the role oversees ongoing monitoring, data review, and reporting, while contributing to communications with tribal leadership, executives, and project sponsors. This role also supports various administrative duties within the department.The Senior Learning & Communications Specialist is skilled at managing multiple competing priorities, has patience and the ability to build strategic relationships, and possesses an ever-present point of view towards the future. This position requires a self-motivated, driven, team-oriented individual comfortable working in a dynamic and entrepreneurial tribal government environment engaged in a diverse growth strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leads the development of team member engagement strategies to drive employee awareness and alignment with San Manuel’s culture and values. Executes those strategies by creating multi-channel compliance solutions that meet policy, legal, and regulatory requirements and provides meaningful and effective team member experiences. Manages the engagement program, ensuring timely deliverables and high-quality content.2. Assists with the development of all ethics and compliance training curricula, including identifying and working with third-party vendors.3. Develops and executes innovative ways to communicate, inform, and engage a diverse employee base. Interfaces with peers and leaders across the enterprise for employee engagement events and activities.4. Drafts engaging and relevant content on select compliance topics to increase employee engagement.5. Manages the delivery, scheduling, recordkeeping, and metrics of Legal Compliance training programs. Uses analytics to ensure overall training program effectiveness.6. Partners with internal departments to ensure integration of legal compliance training and communication with existing efforts, standards, and procedures enterprise-wide.7. Delivers live training to key audiences on a variety of compliance topics and provides support for other compliance programs as needed.8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is required.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a professional or gaming environment required.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Experience working with tribal governments is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Must display exceptional judgment, emotional intelligence, personal integrity, and ability to drive results while demonstrating strict professional decorum and extreme confidentiality with respect to sensitive information.
Ability to communicate with multiple departments or teams, coordinate activities/tasks among departments, and contribute to cross-team alignment, collaboration, and information sharing.
