Job Functions
- Coordinate with department mangers when necessary to ensure optimal functioning of the hotel.
- Able to cover shifts throughout the hotel for any department needs or callouts. Needs to have a flexible and open schedule.
- Be very knowledgeable of Marriott Rewards programs and promotions.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, and surrounding area.
- Needs to be able to work some early morning shifts.
- Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, when necessary.
- Inspection of guest rooms per Marriott guidelines
- Abide by state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Must be able to work well in stressful pressure situations including ability to handle guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Hotel experience preferred.
Work Environment Context
- Work schedules vary and may include working on holidays and weekends and alternate shifts.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching.
