The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for the operations of a portfolio of hotels (approximately 20) throughout the country. This person oversees the property-level General Managers to ensure customer satisfaction, profitability, and team member satisfaction. Magna currently has a portfolio of 80 hotels in most major urban markets throughout the country. Asset maintenance and brand compliance are required as our portfolio tends to affiliate with major brands including Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt, and operates within the full service, lifestyle, and select service segments.
The ideal candidate will be a confident and collaborative senior leader with 3-5 years of prior VPO experience, a proven track record of achieving exemplary results leading hotel operations, and expertise in managing a growth organization. The Vice President of Operations must exemplify and champion the people-focused Company culture. All decisions must be in alignment with Magna Hospitality Group’s values based upon what is best for the entire organization. The Vice President of Operations will lead the development and implementation of corporate-wide hotel operation goals and objectives to include both short and long-term strategic plans.
This individual will have a proven track record of cultivating strong relationships with owners and executive teams, as well as operational leaders at all levels. The candidate will be an expert leader with a demonstrated ability to develop a strong and sustainable culture that results in a positive total company and guest experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills and excellence as a facilitator, mentor, and manager are required. They will have the financial acumen and deep understanding of property operations to instill confidence and demonstrate credibility in the eyes of the Company’s financial partners and investors. S/he must have a demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable for strong performance in all areas including financial, guest service, employee engagement, and owner relations.
