Hilton Waikoloa Village is seeking a Doorperson. Hawaii Island's only 62-acre Hawaiian paradise with 3 one of a kind outdoor swimming pools. Classification: Full Time

Shift: Varies (AM/PM) - including weekends and holidays.

Hourly Wage: $14.00 (tips additional)

License: Valid driver's license required.

What will I be doing?

As a Doorperson, you would be responsible for ensuring a safe and relaxing/fun environment for guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Representing the hotel at the main entrance by greeting arriving and departing guests in an enthusiastic and courteous manner. Directs traffic at the main entrances to ensure the area is accessible at all times and offer luggage assistance to all guests.
  • Maintains driveway traffic flow to allow main hotel entrance accessibility as well as to ensure ample space for passenger and luggage loading and unloading.
  • Greets guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Opens car doors for arriving and departing hotel customers.  Clearly communicates guest parking procedures and applicable costs to arriving guests.
  • Reads luggage tags and provides claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery. Grasps, lifts and/or carries or otherwise moves packages, luggage or boxes from cars, buses and vans, placing packages and luggage onto baggage carts and storing in secure area for retrieval by bell staff.
  • Retrieves luggage from luggage storage for guests who are checking out of the hotel. Responds immediately to guest inquiries regarding hotel features, services and assistance.  Provides clear and understandable directions to hotel facilities and nearby attractions. Initiates requests to taxicab companies upon guest requests.
