Summary 
The Multimedia Designer will be responsible for 2D and 3D motion graphics of concepts created by the design team, developing content for in-house digital signage, and performing video editing and production. This role requires expertise in visual storytelling to effectively convey messages through engaging multimedia content. Responsibilities include planning, development, deployment, testing, documentation, training, evaluation, and ongoing support of digital signage systems. The Multimedia Designer will work closely with the Creative Manager and design team to deliver strategic creative content for various communication channels. Additionally, the candidate must be skilled in relevant computer software and proficient in content management systems to provide troubleshooting and ensure seamless content deployment. Designing at a high level while adhering to the organization's design standards and timelines is also essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Produces engaging, high-level multimedia creative design, utilizing advanced 2D or 3D animation, motion graphics, and visual storytelling techniques, to bring life and motion to the design team’s creative, as well as create original content.
  • Designs, develops, and manages content for the in-house digital signage system using multiple Content Management Systems and software, supporting the organization’s strategies and goals for internal and external communications.
  • Assists with advertising production work including web, print, email and social graphics.
  • Produces video projects, operating both DSLR and Cine cameras, as well as lighting setup and audio recording.
  • Edits special effects, composition, and design of animation & video productions with a strong sense of movement, pacing, transitions and clarity of purpose.
  • Edits and manipulates photos; maintains and organizes digital video and photograph collateral.
  • Tailors creative content to appeal to different target audiences, demonstrating a keen sense of detail to produce content adhering to the wide range of brand standards and art styles within the organization.
  • Provides technical support and assistance for the multiple Content Management Systems (which deploy and schedule the content they render) to the organization and other customer personnel as requested and according to required deadlines and approvals.
  • Performs duties in a cooperative manner and maintains positive relationships with all co-workers to ensure the success of the department and the company. Balance team and individual responsibilities and understand business implications of decisions across the organization.
  • Takes a leadership role in analyzing user and/or business requirements, procedures, and problems, synthesizing complex and/or diverse information, to create or improve digital signage solutions, based on Casino Arizona technology standards and approved graphic and design elements.
  • Maintains technical expertise in design and development using web technologies based on established business standards.
  • Demonstrates advanced working knowledge of software such as After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. (Maxon One suite or 3D animation or motion graphics, a plus).
  • Continually polishes skills and explores new editing and animation techniques to keep designs fresh and exciting to engage our guests and is eager to learn from and share knowledge with the team.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Visual Effects, Animation, Video Production, Graphic Arts/Design or Motion Graphics or in a related field preferred; Three (3) years’ work experience developing Visual Effects and Motion Graphics with multiple operational interfaces required.

Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience and proven skill using: 

  • Motion Graphics software (e.g., After Effects, Adobe Premiere)
  • Email Content Creation/Management (e.g., Salesforce/Exact Target)
  • Graphics editing software (e.g., Photoshop Creative Suite)
  • Graphic & Print design software (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premier)
  • Presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint) 

Proficiency required in: 

  • Facilitating design and development efforts for the organization.
  • Communicating (verbally and written) in a way that builds consensus, persuades, and achieves project objectives constructively.
  • Has experience creating engaging content for advertising campaigns. This includes video print, web, and social applications
  • Must be able to be able to plan, shoot, and edit high quality video content and photographs.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary. Occasionally, travel may be required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
