Compensation: $100,000 USD, Full-Time

Step into the world of Southern California's newest lifestyle destination, the Hotel Burbank. Nestled in the heart of vibrant Burbank, CA, known for its entertainment hub and stunning mountain views, our hotel offers an unforgettable experience for thrill-seekers and ambitious souls alike. We're on the verge of launching a plethora of exciting options tailored to every California dream. Now, we're seeking a dynamic, innovative individual to become a pivotal leader of our growing team.

Role Overview

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to wear the hat of the Director of Revenue Management. You'll dive into piles of data, compile, and analyze detailed revenue information, keep an eye on economic scenarios, and conduct revenue forecast analysis. It doesn't stop there. You'll also have the chance to make strategic suggestions to enhance revenue and review our billing practices to ensure accuracy and proper revenue recognition. But, you won't be alone. You'll work hand-in-hand with various departments and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

As our Director of Revenue Management, you'll not only be responsible for implementing best practices in revenue management and identifying new revenue opportunities, but you'll also:

  • Monitor market trends and competitors' strategies, and use these insights to identify opportunities.
  • Optimize and expand our distribution partnerships.
  • Implement daily yield operations and property performance reviews.
  • Manage and strategize for all 3rd party distribution, group business, and Google Ads.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop packages, promotions, and sales strategies.
  • Conduct regular performance analysis, forecasting, and market analysis.

What You'll Need

To join our team, you'll need to be a high school graduate with secondary education or specific employment experience. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a knack for mathematical calculations and trend analysis, and strong organizational skills. Plus, you'll need to be proficient with MS Excel and MS Word, and have experience in billing and invoicing. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.

What We'd Love to See

We'd be thrilled if you have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field. Knowledge about hotel industry trends and competitors would be a huge plus. But what would make you stand out? Proven hotel revenue management experience with a track record of revenue growth and a deep knowledge of revenue management tools, systems, and various POS systems.

The Physical Bits

As part of the job, you might need to carry, push, move and lift large, bulky and/or heavy objects up to 25 pounds. Tasks may require prolonged standing, walking, repetitive bending and other physical activities. And of course, being comfortable with keyboards is a must for generating correspondence, reports, and more.

At Hotel Burbank, we're not just offering a job, we're offering an opportunity to be part of something special. To contribute to an environment that's bursting with energy, innovation, and endless opportunities. So, seize the moment and bring your expertise to our table. We can't wait to welcome you to our family.
