Laundry Attendant

Position Overview:As a Laundry Attendant at Homewood Suites Novi, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all linens and laundry for our hotel. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay with fresh and clean bedding and towels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Laundry Operations:

  • Operate washers and dryers efficiently to clean linens, towels, and other items.
  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to hotel standards.

• Quality Control:

  • Inspect linens for stains or damage and handle them appropriately.
  • Ensure that all items are properly laundered and presented in excellent condition.

• Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage laundry supplies and report low inventory levels.
  • Assist in the organization and storage of clean linens.

• Safety and Sanitation:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals used in the laundry process.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with housekeeping and other departments to meet the hotel’s needs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding laundry schedules and requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping roles is a plus.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
