Compensation: 90k-95k, Full-Time
We are seeking a Director of Style to lead our dynamic team, infusing creativity and strategic vision into every aspect of our brand's design while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Essential Functions: 

  • Effectively direct daily housekeeping operations including the activities of supervisors, line staff, and other personnel to ensure the timely completion of tasks to the highest brand standard.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the hotel premises at any time of the day, conducting random checks to ensure adherence to established standards. Swiftly address any identified issues to maintain the highest levels of quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement standardized procedures to facilitate consistent work practices compliant with brand standards.
  • Check the physical condition of rooms to maintain the highest room appearance and standards.
  • Establish systems and controls in the hotel Linen/Laundry to ensure that laundry services are of the highest brand standard
  • Establishing and maintaining strong rapport with vendors and other third-party affiliates
  • Conduct interviews and select staff for open positions as necessary.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to foster personal and professional growth.
  • Monitor performance standards daily and provide guidance and disciplinary action as necessary to ensure compliance with brand service and training requirements.
  • Assess and analyze the housekeeping budget, providing detailed justifications and strategic insights. Seek final approval from the hotel manager or general manager to ensure alignment with overall financial objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage labor costs to optimize operational efficiency through advanced planning and forecasting to align with anticipated business needs.
  • Establish and maintain inventory records and controls for all equipment including but not limited to cleaning supplies, chemicals, and guest amenities to manage expenses effectively, minimize waste, and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Establish a good liaison with the Engineering Department to address maintenance concerns for any repairs needed and to expedite any major repairs or special requests to ensure the highest level of hotel cleanliness and function
  • Maintain lost and found procedures and excellent communication with the front office department to ensure efficient handling of lost items and prompt guest service resolutions.
  • Ensure the team maintains high guest service scores as required by the brand and achieves exceptional opinion survey ratings.
  • Promptly respond to guest concerns and complaints to facilitate guest service recovery and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Independently plan and execute assigned duties and additional tasks as required by the hotel management.
  • The position reports to the Hotel Manager and General Manager, with a dotted line reporting to the Corporate Director of Housekeeping.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar position is required.
  • Two years of Department Head experience is highly preferred. 
  • College degree or coursework in hospitality-related field is preferred.
  • The position requires a varied work schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Computer skills required including, but not limited to Word and Excel.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
