Summer Internships 2025

Guests at Margaritaville Lake Resort come to experience the special vibes that only the Margaritaville brand can provide! We are looking for bright, confident and outgoing individuals to join the Front Desk team or the Beverage team next summer to be part of the warmest welcome our resort can offer and to create and deliver fun and escapism for our guests. Experience is not required - we will train you on the job and we will work with you to ensure you meet your school requirements for a formal internship too!

Both positions are temporary summer internships for current college students, which will begin in late May and end in early August (end dates are flexible). You must be able to work a flexible schedule of full time hours throughout the summer period. Shared, affordable accommodation is available for participants on the summer work program/ internship within 1 mile of the resort. Shift times will vary and can include early mornings or late nights. Please state in your application which position you are most interested in.

Front Desk Internship $14 per hour

To work on the Front Desk, you must be upbeat, clear thinking, a confident communicator with excellent English language skills. You must be at least 18 years of age and possess an outgoing and positive attitude as well as a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. There are opportunities for those who want to learn what goes on behind the scenes too. Spend time on the PBX Operator seat taking and directing calls, greet our guests at the door with a warm welcome and assist them with directions, luggage and information, talk to or shadow the Managers, learn about forecasting and scheduling and even the Night Auditor position. The possibilities are up to you! You must be able to stand for long periods of time, be an excellent communicator in English, present a confident and friendly personality and be able to remain calm under pressure.

Beverage Internship $6.15 per hour plus tips

Guests can relax on the resort with their favorite beverage and soak up the good vibes at the Tiki Hut, Coffee Shop or License to Chill Bar! Experience is not required but you must be at least 21 years of age to work behind the bar. The Beverage team is upbeat, energetic and fun! There are opportunities for those who want to learn what goes on behind the scenes too. Spend time talking to or shadowing the Beverage Manager, learn about forecasting, scheduling, inventory and meet our vendors. The possibilities are up to you! You must be able to stand for long periods of time, present a confident and friendly personality and be able to remain calm under pressure. This is a tipped position.

Requirements

Both positions require:

• Fluency in English to communicate with our guests
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time - standing, walking, reaching, bending
• Ability to push/ pull/ carry up to 30lbs
• Ability to use a computer and cash register (with training)
• Confidence in handling cash and card payments
• Confidence in communicating with guests, vendors, managers and coworkers
• Must be at least 18 years of age for Front Desk and at least 21 years of age for Beverage position
