Requirements

What will I be doing?

As Catering Manager at Embassy Suites Orlando I-Drive, you will be responsible for the development and growth of market segments by soliciting new customer relationships and negotiating business through proposals and contracts. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong client relationships, creating custom menus, and ensuring seamless event execution from pre-event planning through post-event follow-up. Your role is essential in maximizing revenue and delivering exceptional event experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing market segments by building new customer relationships and maintaining existing corporate and social accounts.
• Negotiating proposals and contracts to close business, ensuring a profitable outcome for both the client and the hotel.
• Designing creative menus and event experiences to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.
• Coordinating event logistics by directing all related hotel departments and team members responsible for event execution.
• Serving as the primary contact for clients throughout the event planning and execution process, ensuring a high level of service.
• Fostering internal relationships with hotel departments to ensure consistent, high-level service during all event phases.
• Communicating event details to clients and internal teams through timely phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties by developing clear plans and goals for each event.
• Participating in customer site inspections and assisting with the sales process as necessary.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of hotel systems, products, and processes.
• Resolving conflicts, negotiating solutions, and handling complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring high-quality service by guiding and coaching team members on client expectations.
• Attending regular meetings and performing other duties based on business needs.
