  • Lead & Manage: Supervise and guide all engineering staff, making sure your team is trained, motivated, and achieving top performance standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction Focused: Address guest complaints related to maintenance issues, ensuring prompt, professional resolution.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct walk-throughs to monitor the performance of hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarms, elevators, etc.) and handle all necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • System Oversight: Ensure everything from boilers to internet service and air conditioning systems runs smoothly, including coordinating with third-party vendors for regular inspections.
  • Energy & Efficiency: Oversee energy management programs and preventative maintenance schedules, identifying cost-effective solutions to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Safety First: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including maintaining fire safety systems, emergency generators, elevators, and more.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with hotel departments to ensure that maintenance requests are fulfilled quickly and accurately, fostering a team-based environment.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot malfunctions, handle complex repairs, and ensure that the hotel meets all safety and operational standards.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Supervise the maintenance of both the building’s interior and exterior, including landscaping, snow removal, and the upkeep of pools and other facilities.
  • Training & Development: Lead training sessions on emergency procedures and equipment, ensuring your team is prepared to handle any situation that arises.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experienced Leader: You have 5+ years of engineering/maintenance experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Expert in Building Systems: You’re well-versed in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, and landscaping, with a deep understanding of building systems and safety protocols.
  • Problem Solver: You can troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You’re skilled in both verbal and written communication, able to manage your team and work with other departments seamlessly.
  • Team-Oriented: You’re a hands-on manager who leads by example and supports your team to succeed.
  • Technologically Savvy: You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and property management software to manage maintenance tasks and report on system performance.
  • Dedicated to Safety: You’re knowledgeable about safety standards and OSHA guidelines, and you ensure that all team members follow these procedures at all times.
