The Wall Street Hotel seeks an outstanding Director of Sales . It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will keep the guest’s perspective in mind at all times and carry out the mission of the Sales & Marketing Department.

The position is responsible for:

  • The strategic direction and operation of the Sales, Revenue Management, Reservation, E-Commerce, Social and Marketing Departments.
  • Formulating an annual Marketing Plan. The plan should incorporate clear and specific action plans for all departments.
  • Responsible for achieving the hotels total Room revenues as laid out in the Marketing Plan.
  • Achieving the hotel room yield, average rate and occupancy targets, as laid out in the marketing plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:          

  • Together with the General Manager establish and implement a strategic rate structure for all market segments.
  • Together with the Director of Revenue Management apply a Yield Management System to achieve the Hotel budget goals.
  • Accountable for controlling the Marketing and Social Budget to the agreed annual level.
  • Responsible for the Hotels overall Rooms availability. Through the Director of Revenue Management, ensure that inventory controls are applied.
  • Direct the hotel's sales activities and ensure that the Sales Team meets their goals as laid out in the annual Marketing Plan.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relations both within the department and with other departments.
  • Attend selected trade and travel functions, i.e. trade shows and local Hotel and Tourist Association meetings to promote sales and image for the hotel.
  • Plan and where appropriate, execute sales trips to major market areas and report new potential market areas that should be covered.
  • Direct the Marketing Manager and ensure maximum returns in various platforms - digital marketing, social media, influencers and public relations events activations.
  • Continually analyze and review local and international market changes. Together with the General Manager agree programs that may be executed to address these changes. Where appropriate these programs should be implemented through the Sales & Marketing team.
  • Maintain close relationships with all key decision-makers both in local and international markets.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the General Manager.

Salary range $200-215K

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years in the hotel industry
  • Luxury Market experience
  • Luxury Boutique Lifestyle experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of Corporate markets
  • Knowledge of Leisure markets
  • Knowledge of travel agent sales
  • Digital Marketing
  • Experience in handling of Global Sales Representations
  • Experience in handling Public Relations & Communications Agencies
  • Social Media
  • Experience in Hotel Opening or Independent Hotel Brand (optional)
