Summary

The Shuttle Driver/Houseperson is a dual role in which they will be responsible for transporting guests to and/or from the hotel and airport in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner using safe driving practices. Responsible for assisting guests with luggage including delivery and pick up of guest luggage during guest arrival and departure. Responsible for maintaining basic maintenance needs for the vehicle and report any major findings that will make the vehicle inoperable. Secondary duties will include all aspects of cleaning the common areas of the hotel including restrooms, breakfast areas, hallways, and the lobby. You will also address guests’ queries and assist other departments as needed. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay with us.  

Essential Functions

• Greeting passengers 
• Driving the shuttle safely along predetermined routes to and from Nashville International Airport (BNA)
• Inspecting and preparing the vehicle before each trip
• Fueling and cleaning the shuttle
• Documenting data about each trip
• Communicating with Front Desk and other drivers
• Ensuring the vehicle obeys all regulations, including passenger numbers
• Performing minor maintenance and reporting any issues
• Assists guests with luggage loading and unloading
• Ensure accuracy of shuttle requests log sheets, fuel levels and receipts, maintenance needs
• Sweep, mop and vacuum hallways, back offices and common areas
• Wipe down tables, chairs, desks, walls, equipment etc.…
• Assist other departments as needed
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Follow hotel security guidelines
• Get permission from supervisor or manager before clocking out

Education, Experience, Other Requirements

Required

• Familiarity with and adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, MVR and drug screen tests
• Due to insurance policy, must be 21 years old or older  
• Flexibility to work in shifts and report for scheduled shifts
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to follow instructions

Preferred

• High School Diploma
• Work experience as a shuttle bus or van driver (NO CDL required) 
• Experience with hotel cleaning standards and products
