Description

The New York Hilton Midtown is looking for their next Sales Manager.

Set in Midtown Manhattan, this contemporary convention hotel is a 2-minute walk from The Museum of Modern Art and a 10-minute walk from Times Square. All rooms offer sophisticated decor and custom-designed beds, plus marble bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi (fee). Executive rooms provide access to a club lounge with free Wi-Fi, breakfast, and evening appetizers. Suites add separate sitting areas.

The ideal candidate will have large hotel group sales experience. This person will be a motivated team player with excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable meeting with and presenting to potential customers in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 (final offer based on experience)

Requirements

What will I be doing?

As a Sales Manager, you would be responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food, and beverage services, etc.
  • Initiate new sales, prospect, and qualify leads and solicit potential clients
  • Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
  • Conduct property site visits and answer questions
  • Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost and potential business for the hotel.
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed revenue and room night goals
  • Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
