Compensation: $70-80K (OEM) + Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program, Full-Time

We are looking for an outstanding sales person with excellent interpersonal skills. Someone who has proven their ability to manage sales metrics, and is willing to grow and develop business. What you will be doing

  • In this role, you will be responsible for proactive selling and prospecting new business, while maintaining strong connections with current clients.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, attend community events, and remain involved with other networking practices in an effort to secure business.
  • Actively solicits corporations as well as group and meetings business from decision makers through phone calls, site inspections, tele-prospecting, email prospecting, blitzing, and sales trips.
  • Effectively attain assigned business travel sales and revenue goals.
  • Cultivates, develops, and maintains relationships with assigned accounts through regular cultivation and development.
  • Respond to client requests on a same-day basis and assure that proposals and contracts meet the hotel's requirements.
  • Plan and strategize based on market trends within the segment in order to meet or exceed room night and other revenue goals.
  • Represents the hotel with prospective customers to provide necessary information on hotel facilities and services and to determine levels of interest.
  • Manages and negotiates account details and contracts so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Communicates and plans for operations department’s participation in servicing accounts.
  • Formulates program and submits formal sales proposals to prospective customers.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Sales, develop and facilitate marketing, public relations, and media projects, applicable to the transient business travel and other market segments to maximize revenue.
  • Represents the hotel in a professional manner with customers by telephone or in-person to solicit and close group business.
  • Adapt to market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Perform other services and duties as requested by the Director of Sales and General Manager.
  • Host functions and participate in, or conduct sales blitzes, travel and work extended hours to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure client satisfaction from start to finish of their time with the property.

Requirements

  • Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills. Excel, word and outlook experience. When needed, be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • This job requires ability to perform the following: regularly required to talk, hear and interact with guests and potential clients, stand and use hands to, type, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to walk, sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of hotel sales experience or employment in a related position or field. 2+ years experience in a Senior role.
  • Hilton experience preferred.
