The North West Company Rankin Inlet

The North West Company is a leading retailer to underserved rural communities and urban neighbourhood markets in the following regions: Northern Canada, Western Canada, rural Alaska, the South Pacific islands and the Caribbean. Our stores offer a broad range of products and services with an emphasis on food. Our value offer is to be the best local shopping choice for everyday household and local lifestyle needs.

North West’s core strengths include: our ability to adapt our product mix to each market we serve; our logistics expertise in moving product to, and operating stores within, remote or difficult-to-reach locations; our knowledge in serving indigenous and lower-income customers; and our ability to apply these strengths to serve customers within complementary niche businesses.

Our Mission

The Healthy Horizons Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of youth in the communities we serve through financial support and the motivation to advance their level of fitness, education, and health.

Mission

To provide youth within the communities we serve with the knowledge and tools to foster a lifelong connection to physical activity and healthy living.

Vision

A future where activity, nutrition, learning and overall well-being are the key pillars in the lives of youth within the communities we serve.

Helping employees connect to their talents and thrive is a key driver of how we invest in our team members. Developing teams where employees feel heard, respected and included is a core value and is also fundamental to creating an inclusive experience. We believe retail can be a springboard for economic opportunities in the communities we serve. By providing quality jobs, training and career paths, we aim to develop great talent and contribute to local employment and workforce development.
