As a Travel Agency Sales Manager, Area Sales Team - Mexico City, Mexico, you will support the team responsible for providing a differentiated selling platform for Hilton's diverse portfolio of brands by being relentlessly motivated to grow market share. On the Area Sales Team Mexico reporting to Director - ASO's Caribbean & Latin America, you will focus on building positive partnerships with the luxury travel agencies in Mexico for our Luxury and Non-Luxury hotels globally, with a major focus on our Mexico hotel portfolio.

Requirements

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • You will oversee the account management and account development for a roster of accounts for Luxury Agencies based in Mexico (Virtuoso, Signature and Serendipians). Responsible for overall account planning strategy to facilitate growth.
  • You are directly responsible for soliciting, qualifying, and generating and converting new business for our hotels globally but with a focus on Mexico hotels.
  • Negotiate favorable contracting terms which will increase revenue.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • You will collaborate with clients and colleagues during sales calls, tradeshows, conventions, and local events.
  • You will assist hotels with conflict resolution, contract negotiation, support of hotels’ business/revenue needs, and closing sales.
  • Represent Mexico Area Sales Team with your leadership in FAM trips, travel and domestic tradeshows and industry events to meet with unmanaged accounts and generate new business opportunities.

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

  • Identify priorities and need hotels and strategize accordingly. Maintain relationships with the hotels in our portfolio.
  • Produce a yearly pre-determined room revenue for the corporation. Achieve revenue targets. Set and achieve sales competencies as discussed between you and your manager.
  • Maintain GSE / Sales Force records / MicroStrategy, including call reports, meeting profiles, history, and traces.
  • Submit monthly reports and as requested reports; complete projects and deliverables.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience
  • Three (3) years of Travel Agency Group Sales experience as sales manager
  • Experience with prospecting and account development for a roster of accounts for Luxury Agencies based in Mexico (Example: Virtuoso, Signature and Serendipians).
  • Spanish and English fluency (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Web-Ex, MS Teams and Zoom
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills
  • Travel up to 30%

It would be useful if you have:

  • BA/BS bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in Delphi or similar property sales management system
  • Experience using Salesforce and MicroStrategy
  • Travel to the United States as needed
