Promotions Coordinator

Job Title: Promotions Coordinator

Reports To: Promotions Manager

Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Promotions Manager, coordinates the development and implementation of all promotional related activities. The Promotions Coordinator is responsible for notifying all department heads of the promotion and explaining what, if any, their participation will be. The individual must also coordinate all activities in the casino necessary to execute promotions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Work drawings, marketing events, tournaments and other promotions.
• Work off-site events, including but not limited to partnerships with the Phoenix Suns, Top Golf, Salt River Fields, and Phoenix Mercury.
• Communicates  support  requirements to  affected  staff  sections  and  departments  as  directed  by the Assistant Promotions Manager.
• Submits requests for BEO's, cash, tags, and prizes.
• Coordinate day of event to ensure that winner paperwork is prepared and the promotional area is set up in accordance with the BEO and the Assistant Promotions Manager.
• Promotes the casino by telemarketing and through personal involvement with casino-related and partner organizations to include participation in their events, conferences, conventions and promotions.
• Coordinates with Player Rewards Club to ensure all guests involved in both promotions and events are enrolled into the Player Rewards Club database.
• Responds to call-ins and walk-in traffic with regard to events and promotions.
• Responsible for cash handling and promotional payouts and ensures proper tracking through PIO's.
• Maintains winners log and insures all information is accurate for audits.
• Works  with  and  maintains  relationships  on  behalf  of  the  casino  with  activities  directors,  group coordinators, guest services reps and concierges.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED required; college degree in sales, marketing or advertising preferred.  Two (2) or more years of experience in a casino marketing environment is required. Four (4) or more years of working in promotions and events, along with a college degree in sales, marketing or advertising may be considered in lieu of casino experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills (candidates will be tested). Working experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.  A minimum of one (1) year experience working with Casino Marketplace and MGT preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have strong writing skills. Experience with public speaking in front of a crowd in a career environment is required. Excellent organizational and communications skills are required. Must be a team player and be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
