Description

We are thrilled to share that we are looking for two high-calibre undergraduate students to join our Talent Leadership Development department on a 10–12-month internship, based at Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. This internship is ideally suited to a final-year university placement who is interested in pursuing a career in Learning & Development, HR, or Data Analysis. 

The Opportunity

As an intern, you will assist in all operational & administrative and coordinating tasks involved within many stages of the Learning & Development and Talent Management processes. In addition, you will get exposure to projects. Here are some of the responsibilities you will be involved with:

  • Support the team with their mission to offer leadership development for all and creating the best and most inclusive workplace for Hilton’s Team Members
  • Supporting with the coordination of online Harvard Leadership Programmes and taking part as a facilitator where interested.
  • Assist with the coordination of development programmes such as Lead@hilton, Shine & Elevator and e-learning such as Harvard Manage Mentor and other providers on the Hilton University.
  • Point of contact for HR and Training managers in EMEA in terms of Talent Management & Learning and Development related questions.
  • Assist with future planning for learning and development plans and all Leadership programmes.
  • Involvement in EMEA projects, for example, GM academy, Hilton Chefs Inclusion Program, etc.
  • Work with a diverse team based in different countries across EMEA.
  • Measure and analyse feedback received from participants in Leadership Programmes.
  • Involvement in gathering talent data by all hotels, and data analysis and ensuring critical data about talent stays up to date.
  • Analysing leadership development and talent data, to create infographics and league tables.
  • Create attractive communication in the form of newsletters and responsibility for communication on Talent Management through intranet.
  • Take the lead on invoicing and cross-charging for the department.
  • Work with Excel, Power BI and the Learning Management System.
  • You will also take on a study-related project as part of this internship, if required by your education. 

In addition, we are looking for one of the successful candidates to have an interest or experience with data analytics, as this role will include the following responsibilities: 

  • Working with Excel to create graphs and insights.
  • Preferred: Working with PowerBI to create visual dashboards.
  • Utilise tools to lead periodic data evaluation.
  • Tracking data progress of hotels against all business and talent goals throughout the year and adjusting strategy accordingly.

What are we looking for? 

  • First and foremost, Hilton is a hospitality company, and we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of alignment with our culture and values.
  • Must be studying in the Netherlands towards a Bachelor's Degree with an internship as part of your course curriculum.
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
  • Must be available to start in September or November 2024, for a minimum of 10 months (earlier start can be discussed).
