What you’ll be doing…

    • Follow Hilton Brand Hilton's at McCormick Place standard operating procedures.
    • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner.
    • Respond promptly to customer needs, special requests, requests for service and assistance.
    • Be present in the serving area to talk to the guests when all the other tasks are completed in the kitchen and service areas.
    • Set up and maintain the breakfast area(s) in an attractive and organized manner with clean and standardized presentations according to Hilton’s at McCormick Place standards.
    • Set up serving dishes including, but not limited to utensils, cups and other paper/china products; prepare and set out cold food included, but not limited to sweet rolls, muffins, cereal, waffles and other brand required items for self- service.
    • Prepare, warm up and set out hot foods included, but not limited to eggs, sausage, breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, French toast, etc.
    • Prepare meeting rooms, plate and serve food for meetings and events per Hilton’s at McCormick Place standards; replenish food in meeting rooms and handle special dietary needs.
    • Clean banquet and dining rooms during and after the dining experience
    • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service
    • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee
    • Prepares order for presentation to guest
    • Serves food, coffee, water and other beverages; refills beverages as needed
    • Clears tables throughout the dining experience using proper methods for removing dishes, glassware and silverware
    • Load dishwasher or use designated sink to wash the dishes; maintain proper cleaning procedures included, but not limited to all the surfaces, refrigerators, all the kitchen equipment, shelves, floor using required chemicals
    • Cleans banquet room and banquet kitchen area during and after banquet functions
    • Review and understand Banquet Event orders (BEO) at the beginning of each shift to ensure banquet rooms are set as per the customer request.
    • Performs other duties as required to provide genuine hospitality
    • Prepare the bar for service by cleaning guest and service spaces and stocking essential supplies for ease of use.  Retrieve liquor based on requisition.
    • Learn details on each menu item to provide food and beverage recommendations to guests, highlighting unique restaurant offerings and specials.
    • Prepare cocktails and other beverages to specification with accuracy, honoring special requests and ensuring guest delight.
    • Effectively engage and build rapport with guests to identify needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Proactively communicate special needs or requests and take ownership to resolve guest challenges, working collaboratively with the restaurant team.
    • Maintain cleanliness of bar throughout and after shift, completing side work and stocking as needed or assigned.
    • Always maintain professionalism consistent with restaurant and company expectations.

Requirements...

  • BASSET Certification
  • Bartending Experience a Plus
  • Stand and walk for hours at a time.

  • Lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
