Housekeeping / Room Attendant

Job Overview

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of hotel rooms and maintaining our high standards of room conditions. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position. Previous Houseman, cleaning, or janitorial experience preferred.

Essential Functions

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Previous cleaning experience at a hotel preferred
• Ability to communicate with guests
• Ability to lift, pull, and push 25 pounds
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, morning/afternoon/evening shifts and holidays

Qualifications

• Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills with some housekeeping experience preferred.
• Will be required to work mornings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• This job requires ability to perform the following: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand up and moving about the work area, frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, frequently bending, stooping and kneeling.
