Summary
Responsible for serving food and beverages at company events to all Guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner in accordance with Grand Casino’s service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to Guests in accordance with venue standards.
- Performs necessary tasks to service Guests, i.e., taking and filling all drink orders and assisting in maintaining dining area in a clean and neat manner.
- Responsible for cleaning all tables, resetting them for new seating; ensuring tables are set in accordance with venue standards.
- Responsible for knowing event menus and offerings and applying that knowledge with suggestive selling techniques to enhance Guest-dining experience.
- Responsible for restocking stations with glassware, silverware, beverages, napkins, and any other items needed for service.
- Responsible for the Guests needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
- Participates as a team member with Grand Casino Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Guest service.
- Assist other personnel with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary.
- Responsible for always maintaining a clean and sanitary area in full accordance with established health regulations.
- Knowledge of the Dram Shop Act and Servers responsibilities and rights under it.
- Other duties as requested.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Server experience of one (1) year preferred.
- Alcohol Awareness Training is required within two (2) months and will be provided as needed.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
- Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.
- See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
- Stand, walk, run, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.
- Be able to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:
- A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
- A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).
