Purpose and Performance Goals: The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of Front Desk Agent in accordance with company standards for satisfactory performance.
Essential Job Description: Accommodates guests of the hotel by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests following established check-in/check-out procedures.
- Completes AM and/or PM checklists to include bucket checks, credit reports, and discrepancy room reports, due outs, blocking/pre C registration, shift closing and turndown.
- Issues room keys and follows room key procedures.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Computes bills, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
- Makes and confirms reservations.
- Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to ledger.
- Makes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation and arranges for tours.
- Maintains knowledge of various room types and rates.
- You must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast pace work environment with minimal supervision.
Education and/or Experience:
- Prior Customer Service Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time management skills
