Seeking an experienced Reservation Supervisor for the south Okanagan Valley.

Full-Time

NOC: 62022

Term: Full-time, 2-year contract

Start: as soon as possible

Starting Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Positions available: 1

Hours of work: 40 hours/week

Job duties: 

Coordinate, assign and review the work of accommodation services, reservation clerks and reservation agents ensuring efficient operations and delivering unparalleled service to our guests.

Oversee the reservation process from initial inquiry to booking confirmation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accordance with market demand to make data-driven decisions.

Handle guest inquiries, special requests, complaints including compensation, in a professional and timely manner.

  • Establish work schedules, procedures, and coordinate activities of the reservation department with Front Office, Sales, and Revenue Management to optimize guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
  • Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports.
  • Hire, train and mentor reservation staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies to provide exceptional service and uphold brand standards.

Education: 

  • Post-secondary degree in Hospitality Management is required

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years prior experience of luxury hotel reservations (preferably in Hyatt chain) experience is required,
  • Proficiency in Hyatt computer platforms, such as Central Reservations system, Rate Management tool, IDeaS Revenue Management, Opera-PMS as well as in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Excellent English in all abilities (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) is required,
  • Excellent communications skills, organization skills and time management required,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are expected,
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed is expected,
  • Excellent service skills including etiquette and ability to work with the public including diverse clientele is expected,
  • Knowledge of another language is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, is highly desirable.
