Job Summary:
The Host/Hostess provides personal attention to guests, making them feel welcome and valued, and ensuring excellent customer service for a memorable first impression of our restaurants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Open and close the restaurant
•Assist scheduling associates to ensure adequate staff on the shift
•Consistently greet and acknowledge guests while smiling and making eye contact
•Respond to guest requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience
•Answer questions about menu items
•Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals
•Solve guest complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
•Ensure cleaning of work areas, tables, glasses, utensils and equipment
•Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
•Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
•Participate in teamwork and assist other departments when needed
•Ensure compliance to all hotel policies and procedures at all levels
•Any and all job duties as assigned

•Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest relations.

Education/Experience
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently, High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One-two year food service experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Other
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early shifts, weekends and holidays.
