Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager, Facilities, the Control Room Tender is responsible for assisting with all end user requests including: creating service tickets in the HotSOS program, staffing of the Facilities Control Room around the clock to serve as a centralized dispatch center for the Facilities Department. Tracks and managers the service orders along with the call off logs and provides around the clock monitoring for all critical Casino building systems including the Casino Fire Alarm Panel Building Automation System, and Emergency Generator Enunciators. This role must also have a documented customer service and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Manages Fire Systems consisting of establishing communication with the Fire Panel service vendor to place system in and out of bypass. Communicates with Surveillance, DPS, Fire Marshal, Safety & Loss Control, and other key departments in regard to any action with the Fire Systems. Engages in the fire drill and executing emergency evacuation plan protocol. Monitors, tracks, and responds to Trouble, Supervisory, and/or Alarm events activated on the Fire Alarm System Panel. Communicates smoke head read-outs monthly to management.2.    Monitors and makes changes as needed to building HVAC systems: temperatures throughout the Casino, Boiler Room equipment, Central Plant chillers, plate and frame, condensers, and cooling towers per HVAC mechanic and management recommendations; monitor Surveillance, IT, and electrical room AC temperatures. Tracks carbon monoxide levels and reports if/when there is an issue.3.    Performs monitoring of Electrical systems. Monitors and communicates the status of the UPS systems, generators, and switch gear. Tracks and adjusts interior and exterior lighting.4.    Receives all Facilities department service orders. Assigns service order  numbers, logs service orders, and distributes to appropriate . divisions within the Facilities Department.5.    Fields and directs all incoming radio requests and calls to the appropriate division; maintains a log of all calls and creates service orders which require so. Reports any issues with the auto-walks, elevators and escalators. Schedules appropriate vendor when needed. Notifies resident auto-walk, elevator, and escalator vendor technician when issues are reported. Notifies appropriate Facilities Management and Safety Divisin staff when any patron and/or employee incident occurs.  Logs the incident log with accurate information for later use if needed by Claims Department.6.    Assists in promoting brand loyalty by engaging in exceptional customer service to both our external and internal customers. Receives all call-offs from the various divisions, documents and posts in the share drive.7.    Works efficiently in a fast paced, high demand environment. Maintains organized, clean and safe work environment throughout the enterprise.8.    Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

 EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Able to work any assigned shift (day/swing/graveyard).

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

  • Select One of the Following: No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.

  • Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.

  • Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.

  • Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.

  • Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.

  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.

  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.

  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.

  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.

  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
