EDUCATION:    High School Diploma or equivalent.  Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and staff.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:   1 year experience in a driving position preferred; Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:   Working knowledge of transportation duties and the role this area plays in the total guest experience.

JOB SUMMARY:   Assist the Director of Rooms / Bell Captain in maintaining consistent transportation services to our guests. Providing transportation to, and from The Lodge and Club, Inn and Club, The Spa, and the offsite Tennis Club.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:   Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, assisting guests; must be able to remove luggage from vehicles and carry 50 pounds upstairs to guest’s rooms; valid Florida Driver’s License is referred.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
  1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
  2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.
  3. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair. Name tag must always be worn by driver as well as staff while on property.
  4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
  5. Ensure that the appearance of the company vehicle (house car) is always maintained and cleaned according to company standards.
  6. Attend all required training, and any safety courses.  Provide feedback to the Director of Rooms/Bell Captain from the guest experience.
  7. Report any safety hazards or vehicle issues, follow up that they have been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
  8. Ensure guests are greeted courteously upon arrival, and vehicle doors are opened.
  9. Expedite guest inquires, requests and complaints.
  10. Adhere to all Forbes and AAA standards as outlined in Training Manual
  11. Respond promptly and courteously to all guest requests that can be accommodated.
  12. Advise Director of Rooms/ Bell Captain of unusual guest reactions to services, whether positive or negative.
  13. Maintain appearance and good operating condition of the house car. Enforce safe driving practices for yourself and passengers. Including safety measures in the garage, following posted speed limits, wearing seat belts and obeying all traffic laws.
  14. Attend all meetings with Director of Rooms and Guest Service team, staying informed of all policies and procedures pertaining to Guest Services.
  15. Maintain high sanitation and safety standards, by training and working daily with staff.
  16. Inform Director of Rooms or the Human Resources Department of any changes in the status of a   Driver’s license.
  17. Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Director of Rooms/Bell Captain
