The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a seasonal Banquet Set Up Team Member to join us at The Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, New York. We are looking for a team of outgoing, guest oriented Bussers and Runners to contribute to the success of events such as luncheons, weddings, proms, business meetings, and various other functions.

What will you do?

  • Sets patron tables and buffet areas for service.
  • Accommodates all guests and addresses inquiries.
  • Replenishes buffet food, refills beverages, removes dirty dishes from tables.
  • Assists in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to complete Serve Safe courses

More about you

  • Customer service oriented with a positive attitude, an openness and willingness to learn, and a desire to be held accountable and contribute to a team.  
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently with grace in a high-volume fast-paced environment.  
  • Very organized with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Possess basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names.
  • Available for part-time, on-call events that include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements

  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
  • Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills.
