Are you an experienced Catering Sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is ready to take on a dynamic sales role? The Marriott Winston-Salem & Benton Convention Center is seeking a Senior Catering Manager to drive catering revenue, manage key accounts, and be our face in the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Generation: Achieve a personal booking goal of $1.5M annually across the Marriott and Benton Convention Center.

Strategic Sales: Proactively target current and new high-value accounts, develop catering spending from transient accounts, and shift business from competitors.

Market Expertise: Leverage knowledge of the North Carolina and Winston-Salem markets to grow catering sales.

Event Management: Oversee catering sales efforts for local and group/convention businesses, including booking and managing events with 1,000+ attendees.

Leadership & Collaboration: Develop catering sales pipeline, transition existing high-profile accounts to achieve hotel and convention center revenue goals.

Client & Vendor Relations: Maintain effective interactions with guests, sales and kitchen teams, vendors, competitors, local community, and catering associations.

Managing Pipeline: Develop and manage catering sales pipeline to meet goals, monitor adherence to space release guidelines.

Team Reporting: This position reports to the DOCCS/Director of Sales and Marketing.
Qualifications:
- Prior catering sales experience at a large hotel, convention center, or venue with at least 75,000 SQFT.
- Experience handling groups of over 1,000 attendees preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the North Carolina and Winston-Salem market.
- Marriott Sales/CITY Experience Highly Preferred.
- Hotel Sales Experience Preferred.
- Catering Sales Experience Required.
- Proven ability to drive revenue and grow market share in a competitive environment.
