Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Lead Cooks to join our team at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. As a Lead Cook, you will assist the Executive Steward and Lead Cooks in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all food and beverage venues, in accordance with our companys standards. What will you do?

  • Supervise and train cooks, dishwashers, and other culinary team members
  • Ensure clean pots, pans, and other cooking containers and utensils are ready and available when needed
  • Ensure food is being produced in a timely and efficent manner
  • Keep work area, coolers, freezers, and equipment neat and clean at all times
  • Cook a variety of foods for all suites including different meats, seafood, sandwiches and ballpark classics
  • Adhere to and enforce inventory and labor control measures; perform inventory counts as requested

More about you

  • At least 2 years of cooking experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Basic math skills for counting inventory
  • No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs
  • Ability to pull or push heavy carts of stock throughout the facility
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching, during the entire length of shift
