The impact you’ll make…

The Hotel Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's financial operations.

What you’ll be doing…

• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management.
• Accounting & Auditing:
  • Oversee and execute all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast future performance.
  • Analyze variances and make recommendations for adjustments.
• Cash Management:
  • Manage hotel and departmental cash banks.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure timely deposits.
• Internal Controls:
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

You should be able to…

Sit 8+ hours per day at desk/computer

Requirements…

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least two years of prior accounting experience preferably in a hotel setting.
• Ability to multi-task working in a business environment.
• Friendly, outgoing and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
