We are looking a Housekeeping Manager to be part of this exceptional leadership team!

Named Hilton's Luxury Hotel of the Year for 2022, the Forbes 4-Star hotel has brought a new standard of luxury to DC with 360 rooms, 32,000 square feet of banquet space, and 5 food and beverage outlets, including a signature restaurant, rooftop bar, lobby bar, club lounge, and in-room dining. 

In this role, you will assist in managing daily housekeeping operations managing a team of 50-60 union team members and reporting directly to the Director of Housekeeping. 

The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of housekeeping leadership experience with excellent time management and organizational skills. Union management experience is a plus.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The annual salary for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Manager, you would be responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
  • Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage daily systems use and management, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Oversee and conduct room inspections
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
