Job Title: Admin/Human Resource Manager
Location: Waikiki Resort Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii
Position Overview:
The Admin/Human Resource Manager is a dual-role position responsible for overseeing administrative operations and managing the hotel’s human resources functions. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring efficient daily operations, fostering a positive work environment, and aligning HR practices with the hotel’s goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage office operations, supplies, and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate and organize meetings, schedules, and internal communications.
• Maintain accurate records, including licenses, certifications, and permits.
• Assist with operational reporting, budgeting, and record-keeping.
• Support departments with administrative tasks as needed.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes for new hires.
• Manage payroll, timekeeping, and employee benefit programs in coordination with the finance team.
• Address employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and promote a culture of respect and teamwork.
• Coordinate training and development programs to enhance staff skills and performance.
• Ensure compliance with the Waikiki Resort Hotel’s Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in HR and/or administrative roles, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Hawaii labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with collective bargaining agreements (CBA).
• Familiarity with Opera PMS and Sage 100 (or similar systems).
• Multilingual abilities, especially in Korean or Japanese, are a plus.
