The Executive Housekeeper oversees all housekeeping operations, coordinating with other departments for a smooth operation. This role emphasises strong leadership, organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across the Housekeeping department. It involves managing budgets, setting departmental goals, and ensuring effective communication and team work are maintained.
What will I be doing?
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Oversee all operations within the Housekeeping and Laundry area.Evaluate guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement.Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cos controls and well managed schedules, ensuring productivity levels are maximised at all times.Set departmental targets and objectives, with the Operations Manager, work schedule, budgets, and policies and procedures.Manage housekeeping projects in a timely manner in conjunction with the Operations Manager and as directed by the Hotel Manager.Inspect fixtures, fittings and appliances regularly to ensure compliance with standards and take necessary actions.Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Housekeeping Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork.Ensure team members have up to date knowledge of all room categories and amenities. Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers. Ensure staffing levels cover business demands. Conduct ongoing training and ensure communication meetings are conducted with post meeting minutes generated. Perform annual performance review and mid year career conversations with team members, ensuring team member development plans are developed and maintained. Mange staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures. Recruit, manage, training, and develop the Housekeeping team. Assist other departments wherever necessary.What are we looking for?
