Horseshoe Bay Resort is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to create and execute a results-driven social media strategy to inform, promote, and attract public interest to increase resort awareness and guest stays.

Definition:

  • Create and execute a results-driven social media strategy to inform, promote, and attract public interest to increase resort awareness and guest stays.
    • Manage social media editorial calendar for multiple resort accounts across all social platforms ensuring alignment with the Master Marketing Calendar; maintain accuracy of social media calendar compared to posts.
    • Schedule posts and actively manage community engagement for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
    • Write clear, compelling copy that reflects the brand’s voice and values, and aligns with the resort’s objectives and target audience. Maintain unified brand voice across different accounts and social media channels.
    • Capture and curate engaging content (resort activities, special events, etc.) for timely distribution through social media channels.
      • Digital asset creation to include photography, video filming and editing
    • Review analytics and create reports on key social media metrics.
    • Assist in the development and management of social media influencer marketing strategy.
  • Manage the online presence on the resort on platforms including Google, Trip Advisor, Yelp, and others
    • Maintain up to date descriptions, photography, hours of operations, and promotions.
    • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Assist with the creation of digital assets and content for email campaigns as assigned.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the resort website and mobile app, including content creation, and maintenance, ensuring the website functions properly, is easy to navigate, and provides a positive experience for its user base.
  • Track competitive properties by identifying and evaluating guest activities, amenities, promotional offers/pricing, advertising, and social media trends.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the Resort’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Education and or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years marketing and content creation experience, preferably in the hotel/resort/guest service industry or related field.
  • Experience in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc., with knowledge of current social media trends.
  • Excellent language, spelling, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress, HTML, and Email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, a keen eye for aesthetics; capable of producing a highly polished final marketing product.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment with the ability to self-direct and be proactive in completing goal-oriented assignments in established timeframes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.
  • Adhere to all written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
  • Perform in a manner that demonstrates the philosophies of Forbes 4-Star luxury service and "Authentic Texas Hospitality."

Language Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write and edit copy that adheres to brand standards in style and tone for collateral, advertorial, and digital media.
  • Discretion and confidentiality is extremely important.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Should be very accurate and organized.
