Staff Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a solid understanding of financial management, and the ability to mentor junior staff. Vacation Myrtle Beach manages 14 resorts; we are looking for a motivated, smart, detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team located at our corporate office in Longs SC, 29568.

Staff Accountant responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Contributes to P&L production and closings for assigned resorts.
• Identifies major revenue and expense opportunities depending upon P&L results
• Processes accounts payable with accuracy and an understanding of the general ledger.
• Performs reconciliations of inventory and other modules.
• Processes monthly sales tax returns.
• Communicates with resort departments to ensure accounting is timely and accurate.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, including P&L involvement.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to question, identify and help to resolve deficiencies.
• Must possess good communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
• Excel knowledgeable.
